Building new roads, to sell more houses, to raise taxes, to pay for roads and schools is a downward spiral.
The County needs to get growth under control. We need to stop paving over our valuable farm land. Once it is paved over it is gone forever. Real estate prices need to stabilize for both residential and commercial. Controlling supply increases demand and value. We need to support small business already in the county. We need to contain growth of our school system. We need to make conservative use of the resources we have now and save the rest for the future. Water, land and our way of life is going to be in jeopardy unless we change the leadership of Charles County.
